During the launch of BF3, I was in a Danish clan who were hoping for BF3 to be a decent BF game. Needless to say, we got bored within the first couple of months, and 2 of the main admins of the clan got the idea of creating their own game, around last summer. We discussed it over TS3 and got the idea of a realistic American civil war game.

Few months later, where most of us jumped off the development team due to school, work etc., the 2 admins continued to develop, and have grown quite a lot since then. I cba. to write down all their updates, but you can read it on their ModDB.

They recently released their first video of it, which was a flyby of the Antietam map, and it looks fucking beautiful.

Cool! I would definitely play it. BattleGrounds 2 (American civil war Source-mod) is rather fun, and you might want to check it for some ideas :tounge:

CryEngine 3, quite powerful engine, it even supports destruction, though not at the same level of Frostbite

you just need fast code and thats it.
Not like frostbite has some amazing destructibility you have 10 buildings on a map for christs sake, its just hyped to no end.

and there are things that can be done in a way less taxing way than how frostbite does them
