It has come to my attention that most maps that we play these days are very wide open and asset heavy.
While it gives some players the ability to play around with some powerful toys it also makes the other 65-80% of players who are stuck as infantry completely irrelevant to the outcome of the battle as the game is won and lost by the asset players because when one team's assets are down due to (most of the time) incompetence of their crews the team is mostly defenseless against the other team's armour and air units.

"But RoBO you can build TOWs and AAA, and you can get the LAT, HAT, AA kits. Surely WITH SUPERIOR COMMUNICATION you can destroy lets say 2 tanks, 1 IFV, 2APCs, an attack helicopter and a ground attack aircraft."

How many times did you see any kind of communication on a loosing team?
How many times did you see infantry win on its own when all it's assets and (most likely) transport are down?

My proposed solution to this is to just play more city maps and/or forest maps as they allow infantry even on the team without assets to be relevant, effectively combat armour and hide from air units, and most importantly PLAY THE GAME as then it wont be trying to cross killzones between strongpoints just dieing over and over again.

In addition to what i just said above playing AAS desert maps 3-4 times in a row almost feels like playing the same map. It would be good to have more veriety.

"But RoBO the PLAYERS VOTED for those maps!!!"

The ADMINS gave them the choices.

    Lets have a discussion below

Yamalia is a good example of a 4k that suits infantry more than armor.

Desert maps are good for asset whores
    City maps for campers

And Forest maps are the only good INF maps

What he means is, he's shit at assets, cant be good at inf in city map, and gets carried by his teammates on forest maps.

I think you can't simply say they are irrelevant because of assets. If someone has a low skill level they are going to be irrelevant on any sort of map and gamemode because of their own skill level.
You think that if someone is incapable of building FOBs, playing the objective and making use of emplacements while communicating with the team on an asset map they are suddenly going to do that on an infantry map? No.
You don't think that. You just want to bring down the general level of play to suit the idiots.

So just balance the teams better. Most rounds that are steamrolls happen because admins don't know how to/can't be bothered to balance the teams.
Also the map vote options are sometimes mind boggling. As you said, admins give the choices. So just give smart choices that take in consideration what was played before, current team balance and vote format.
You don't have to exclude asset maps, or play 24/7 inf maps. You just have to play them in a smart cycle and have team balance.

So if someone is an idiot and his mistakes impact the game negatively, you basically want less assets because that would punish idiots less, while still being idiots. xd

I've been playing almost daily in random pub squads and the leniency the admins have towards squads that aren't playing the objective, waste things and give up after 1 lost flag then sit in main afk while crying in chat combined with not caring about balance and map choices are at fault too.
You have a smaller and smaller playerbase, manage it, don't punish certain players because of others.

Maybe stop trying to cross killzones over and over again? Thats exactly how people get 50/0 stats while doing assets.

One day you will learn how to play INF instead of camping a street as AR and enjoy that as much as I enjoy your mom.

There's always someone who is unsatisfied with maps or votes. Regardless of the map that is set next, there's always complaints. Having different types of maps in the mix makes it interesting. Running inf maps 90% of the time would make the game just CSGO with 2x2km maps. The reason PR is still alive is that there's not a lot of games that offer some level of teamwork on public servers and large scale battles with assets.

Infantry is the strongest thing in this game. They rely both on sheer numbers and buildable FOB-assets to fight against tanks or CAS. If the asset is far away, build a TOW or hide from it. If the asset is close by, shoot a LAT/HAT to it. If you see an asset, tell it to the countering asset of your team. And especially keep updating the intel so your teams assets won't get killed because you gave them 5 minutes old intel.

So much this. Even as infantry, you have to change the style you play on different maps. Don't just run from bunker to bunker in Kashan, especially if there's tanks on the hilltops. Maybe try defending for once, because if you're in the bunker rooms, only the enemy infantry can take you out.
