From the wiki: A sniper is a highly trained marksman who operates alone, in a pair, or with a sniper team to maintain close visual contact with the enemy and engage targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the detection capabilities of enemy personnel. These sniper teams operate independently, with little combat asset support from their parent units. Snipers typically have highly selective and specialized training and use High precision/application rifles and optics, and often have sophisticated communication assets to feed valuable combat information back to their units. Thats real life now in PR you join a squad, walk up to a box request it and leave that squad, then make a your own usually named RECON or SNIPER. Then you sit somewhere and piss people off the rest of the game. Which, no one likes so don't expect anyone to be your friend. So, getting to the actually stuff now. There are many different types of snipers in the game, they vary from moisin, m40, m24, and sv98 and a few more. Each have different stats, but are used the same way. Positioning:First, make sure you are at a position where you can be prone or crouched and still see your enemies. Whenever you move, be smart take alleyways or ditches to avoid any contact. A inaccurate sniper, is a dead sniper. Situation Awareness: Always be aware of your surroundings, If something seems wrong get out of there. Each team only has 2 kits, don't waste it. Target Identification: I like to aim for the squad medics. Then, after that whoever I see. Only shoot if the chance to hit is at least 90%. Otherwise wait for another one. There are 49 other people to shoot. Fire support: A skilled shooter can bog down a squad long enough for mortars to hit them. Saves ammo and is a nice sight to see. Pro Tips: 1. Wait for the target to be still, increases that chance to hit. 2. Know your weapon, most snipers are 1 shot kills but others are not. Once you determine that you will know where to aim that sniper. Usually at the chest. 3. When you are zoomed in, if you hold 3 it will hold your breath and increase accuracy. I go 1 2 fire. Mainly because you cant hear your breath or breathe. 4. If you can avoid direct contact. You only get 2 kits and they take about 10 minutes to spawn. 5. If you do make a recon or sniper squad, make sure you do that and not have a free kit squad otherwise you take away from the infantry. I usually lock it at 4. I think I got everything, if I missed something put it as a comment and I will add it!
