PRTA goes rogue! __________________ PRTA Presents: Arma3 Antistasi Introductory Event | 18:00 PRT, 12th MAY Viva la revolución! Some of you have already been enjoying the occasional and improvised Arma 3 coop session here on PRTA. This time it's official: Join us as we take on the full might of the AAF army to fight for liberty on the Aegean island of Altis! Guerilla warfare The mission we're going to be playing is "Antistasi", a persistent guerilla scenario with asymmetric warfare. Players will need to be on their wits as they take on a better equipped and overwhelmingly larger force. They will be brought up to speed on the mechanics of the mission as well as engage in increasingly difficult raids: from simple hit and run patrol ambushes to large, coordinated attacks against bases. To give you an idea of the tactics and gameplay involved, here an excellent primer by the famous Arma 3 youtuber Dslyecxi: The plan As an organic and emergent experience is being aimed for, we will adapt our session to the situation (player count, enemy movement, resources etc). As a general plan, here's what we are going to aim for: Ready up! Players are going to gather their gear and mount their vehicles. At the same time squad-leaders and the commander will decide on the missions or objectives to be pursued and how to coordinate our guerilla force. Ambush! To warm up and get our rookies up to speed, the freedom fighters will coordinate raids to accomplish hit and run missions for the purpose of gaining resources and/or enemy gear. Taking the AAF head-on! Once our group feels confident to conduct larger strikes, we will aim to capture strategic facilities and/or bases to gather significant gear and perhaps even seize armored vehicles. This will require great coordination and fire support from friendly mortars. Remember: all the gear and weaponry of our glorious guerilla comes from the enemy army so be sure to take as much as possible with you before retreating! Organization & general rules In order to establish a coherent fighting force and provide quality gameplay, a minimum of structure has to be established. Please understand these following rules: All players are required to have mics. All communication is to occur via Arma 3 VOIP. Radio discipline is to be maintained, except for direct channel. Players will join squads and follow the orders of their squad-leader. Just as with the PR Server, these rules will be enforced for the sake of the gameplay. As general guideline, play the event as though you were playing a round of Project Reality! For the sake of organization, Deckelsmouk will be the commander and decide, with the squad leaders, the next course of action of the guerilla force as well as the resources to be deployed on the field. How do I join the server? Best way to connect is to use direct connect using the following: Address: eu1.prta.co Port: 2302 Password: soup Server name is: PRTA - Testing/Coop Do I need any mods?
