Been watching Dreamhack Winter all day:
-really happy HR are playing this great, they had great players but now they also have good starts and executions, also grill manager
-hoped iBuyPlaneTickets goes out as fast as possible so they regret their roster changes, but didn't expect them to lose against Penta
-C9 deserve to go home, they showed nothing
-Fnatic will win

I use to play this a lot. My team and I got really good at it and won almost every match we played.

Question, does having a 144hz monitor hit your performance in terms of framerate?

 

Does a 144hz monitor suddenly make you do aces every round? No. Does it generally feel more enjoyable playing? Yes.
Sure, it allows you to do a 180 and kill a dude failing his spray at you more easily, but it's not a huge performance boost. Stuff like peaking is also more efficient.

What's the advantage in having a 144hz monitor if your you can't get more then ~60FPS from your graphics card anyways?

 

Monitor won't make your framerate any different.

Probably very small/ none. Unless you have a G-Sync one, then the difference is huge. Either way 60fps in a competitive FPS is terrible, people complain about having 120fps.

 

I am running on 30fps usually If I am lucky...

At least I don't need to think about a screen with 120hz or 144...doesn't matter at all to me
