    Hey guys I want to organize a "PRTA public - Battle for Qinling - Event" (I hope to be allowed to host it on 1 of the 5 PRTA servers, with slightly adjusted PRTA PR server rules, waiting for a reply by PRTA manager/managers?)

    I would like to host this event on a saturday evening (19h Amsterdam time) in mid/end february (11., 18., 24.), it is a really interesting PR map!


    With signups for 2 commanders and minimum 4 Squadleaders (2 per team, for Dovre skirmish inf until we reach around 64 players on server, then we switch to Qinling)

    I prefer chinese commander but can do british cmd if we don't find 2 commanders. Else I will be a squadleader)


    The official map is part of the official PR map pack [click here] (released last month, 1 GB. Map is named "qinling_rmp" (80 MB), added as attachment below in this post)

    My idea is to add 2 more interesting flags ("upper river" and "village", yellow areas will be the capture zones), I'm busy right now editing them in BF2 Editor:

    Commanders:
    • China: DanielNL (in case we get several other capable commander applications I will do CH or GB Squadleader)
    • Britain: - (or me if sb. prefers CH cmd.)
    Squads (start with Dovre skirmish inf layer, only when ~ 32 players per team reached we will play the 64 layer Qinling):

    Experise from sb. with BF2editor + PR experience is appreciated. I'm still trying to figure it out, so far I don't even see terrain grass, just white, no grass texture at all o_O

    absolutePosition is X/Z/Y, zero is the centre of the map. So X and Y on qunling go from -2000 to 2000. X is east-west, Y is north-south, Z is how high from the "map bottom" it is. Some basic maths and a look at the minimap and it's not so hard.

    Get in a chopper and land at the requred position, i think the altitude is taken from the bottom of the map. You can do everything in the editor, but i am oldschool.
