Role description Role title: General Counsel Reports to: Lead Manager (Sloan) Responsible for: Ensuring that all legal aspects of running PRTA are handled. Purpose of post: To add the capacity to properly handle any legal issues which arise. Contacts (who will they deal with): Various managers. Major duties: Maintaining all term & conditions, helping to maintain all rule sets, providing advice on suggested rule changes, providing general legal advice to management. Person specification: Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Qualities needed to perform the task: Working knowledge of law. Ability to write comprehensible terms & conditions/agreements. Ability to maintain short, comprehensible and self-consistent rule sets. Ability to write rules which minimise our exposure to legal action. Ability to write rules which can be updated without excessive cost/effort. Competency Framework: Work-related behaviour which is necessary: Attention to detail. Patience when explaining things to non-technical people whose first language is not English.
