The automatic rifleman is the most reliable and accurate weapon when it comes to suppresing enemies and covering friendly infantry and it arguably has the most anti infantry firepower. In this guide I will provide a few tips how not to suck as the AR/MG.

    1. Whenever your squad is moving make sure you are at the back of the line/formation. Whenever an enemy gets spotted you want to be further away from them to be able to use the deployed ar mode effectivelly.

    2. Ar is best used as a stationary support weapon. If you engage or get engaged seek a good position from which you would be able to provide covering/suppresing fire.

    3. If possible set up on higher ground to provide even more effective covering fire. Keep in mind that if you are able to cover alot of places you are visible from alot of places so make sure you have good cover because you will be a priority target for the enemy squad.

    4. Whenever your squad is crossing a dangerous open area (for example a road) make sure to stay behind and cover your squad while they are crossing

    5. AR can somewhat reliably engage light vehicles such as trucks boats jeeps and even the VN-3 (batmobile) or the british panther. I have successfully managed to destroy the forementioned vehicles with no LAT in my squad and the most damage was done by the AR. It takes around 200 small arms bullets to kill a vn3/panther so if your squad manages to ambush these vehicles you should be able to take them down without a lat kit.

    6. Avoid going on rooftops. While being on a rooftop gives you excelent visibility of the surrounding areas you will be spotted from miles away and likely taken out before spotting the enemy.

Keep in mind that these are just tips not hard rules that are never meant to be broken.

    1: Get in position
2: Use the deployed one and wait while standing still (8 seconds for best accuracy/least bullet spread)
3: Pew pew pew. (Shooting won't make your accuracy/bulletspread worse if your MG is deployed, only moving will do so.)

Scopscey AR is where its at.

pewpewpew the sniper, pewpewpew the HAT, some assholes think, heh look at that noob has a scope we'll go close range, he won't be able to kill us, switch to undepolyed mode, pew them too.

Never be standing, always find cover you can crouch behind, and stand to shoot.
if there is no crouch cover, go prone wait for deviation to settle go crouch and lay waste to all then noobs, then promptly go back to prone and run away.

Don't forget the most important aspect to using MGs and ARs.

Firing in short controlled bursts. You're going to be infinitely times more accurate at hitting targets firing quick 3 round bursts than trying to empty the entire box into them. Only time you should fire fully auto is when suppressing targets.

Look guys its very simple. All you have to do is not die. Just don't get shot ok? Then you'll win! If you get shot, its bad so stop getting shot.

Step 1 - go behind a ridge, so that if u crouch you will be in cover
Step 2 - find a target and aim at him
Step 3 - crouch for like 6 secs while not moving aim
Step 4 - Stand up and shoot immediately

When finding new targets, just keep popping up from crouch to standing.
    Profit.

My Friend, when one is above a ridge they silhouette themselves against the sky behind them. What about just the term "cover" of any and all sorts?

What do you mean? That when your head is above the ridge, then your position is revealed? Wouldn't say silhouetting yourself matters when you are shooting people.

Ok man, though personnally I would position myself on the front of a ridge, preferable in a bush or behind cover, and engage from concealment. It's called being tacticool Leo!

Shooting from behind ridges also allows the medic get you up without risking or smoking, which is a big plus too. If the medic's staying back...
