Over the past few months [R-CON]Snares, [R-CON].D0T and I have been working on a new version of PR:Mumble with a great set of features, both in the client and in the server side. The foundation of the client is the newest version of Mumble (1.2.3), which brings us some nice tools and configurations to tweak.
The main objective was to make the easiest process for any user to get started with PR:Mumble.
When you start it up you get automatically connected to the Project Reality Official Mumble server. There is a setup wizard when running it for the first time, but after that it remembers your nickname and you connect right away. Easy.
After joining the PR Mumble server, that's about it! You don't have to do anything else. You don't have to know what channel to join, which team is which, etc. You get automatically moved to the right channel...
Today as many of you are aware is Remembrance Day, or for those of you in America, Veterans Day where we commemorate the sacrifices made by those, in conflicts past and present, to preserve the freedom which we take for granted everyday. So although Project Reality is just a game, let us not forget the men and women who have fought in the past, and those on the front lines today.
This year, Remembrance/Veterans Day falls at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011 (11-11-11-11). To mark this once in a lifetime Remembrance/Veterans Day, we at Project Reality decided to go that extra mile by creating the Camp Bastion Memorial which will stand ingame, in Camp Bastion on our upcoming map, Sangin.
